Kidd Positions Itself as an Ultimate Laptop Battery Provider
Based in Shenzhen, Kwangtung Province, China, Kidd is an ultimate laptop battery provider, making batteries that are compatible with all major notebook and netbook models produced by brand-name laptop vendors, such as Acer, Apple, Asus, BenQ, Compaq, Dell, Gateway, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo (IBM), Fujitsu, Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, CLEVO, Mitac, Uniwell, FIC, ECS, Hitachi, and NEC.
“We invest in the R & D of every mainstream notebook and netbook model, and then make a battery to suit each of the models,” said Windy Teng, Sales Manager of Kidd Technology. “Customers turn to us for laptop batteries to replace worn out batteries for end users. Our batteries offer the same quality as the original ones but with lower prices.”
June Leung, Sales Representative of Kidd, said, “Kidd rolls out an average of 5-7 new batteries every month to reflect the fast release of mainstream laptop models and demands of the market. She said that no Kidd battery would go out of the plant without first undergoing strict testing.
According to Leung, Kidd’s best-selling batteries have been those for UMPCs and netbooks, which reflect the market trend.
Customization is also one of Kidd’s strengths. “Kidd can make batteries according to customers’ needs and requirements. For example, our European customers usually ask us to use the best materials to produce the best quality batteries for them, whereas customers in India and other emerging markets ask us to produce low price but good enough batteries. We can also customize battery power capacity and battery life according to customers’ requirements,” said Teng.
According to Leung, Kidd is planning to raise its visibility in order to attract OEM and ODM orders from major PC vendors. “We want all PC vendors to know that they are more than welcome to test our products,” said Leung.
